Alice J Weimer

Alice J. Weimer, 85, of Tuckerton, NJ, passed away at home on Thursday, March 23, 2017. Born in Newark, she lived in Irvington before moving to Tuckerton 17 years ago. Alice graduated from Newark Medical Center as a Registered Nurse and throughout her career worked for Clara Maass Hospital in Belleville, NJ, for the Irvington School System as a substitute School Nurse and for a private physician's office for 17 years. She was a Communicant of St. Theresa's R.C. Church in Little Egg Harbor and active in the Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Great Bay Women's Club and the Living Waters Prayer Group at St. Mary of the Pines Church in Manahawkin.
Alice's true vocation and passion was her family. Her life was full of love, devotion and care for her husband and children and, as her kids became adults, for the life partners and new generations of children that came into her ever-expanding family. Alice took pride in her homemaking and cooking as gifts of love. She found delight in the simple pleasures of family gatherings, of playing Chinese checkers and UNO, of reading a compelling mystery novel, of corned beef and green beer on St. Patrick's Day, and so many more moments that made her life rich. Alice nurtured all in her family, and found much of her life's satisfaction, accomplishment and joy in the happiness and accomplishments that each of her family members found in theirs.
Alice was preceded in death by her sister and brother.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years Lawrence Weimer, children Lawrence D. Weimer and wife Alicia of Wharton, Harry Weimer and wife Sandi of Manahawkin, Perri Lynn Morton and husband John of Cincinnati, OH, Timothy Weimer of Hillsborough, Lisa Giunta and husband Tom of Union, and David Weimer and wife Angela of Tuckerton; grandchildren Chris, Carolyn, Melissa, Ryan, Stephen, Brian, Shannon, John Jr., Kelly, Christine, David, Theresa, Thomas and Belle; and great-grandchildren Emily, Moss, Rebecca, Danielle, Catherine, Aiden, Emma, Noah, Shea and Drew.
