Alberta Ninehan

It is with the heaviest of hearts to announce that Alberta Ninehan, 68, of Tuckerton, NJ passed away on January 26, 2023. Alberta was born in Passaic, New Jersey and spent many wonderful years in New Jersey before moving to Pennsylvania for a new chapter; but like most people, Alberta returned to New Jersey later in life. Alberta was sunshine personified. People were always drawn to Alberta for many reasons, but without a doubt for her infectious smile, love of giving and receiving hugs and compliments (her favorite being “I like your shirt!”), and ultimately spreading joy to every thing and everyone she came across. Alberta truly had a zest for life. Alberta loved dancing, listening to music, and going out different places but never without her pearls. Alberta also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family by doing puzzles, coloring, and sharing stickers. The ones that benefited the most from Alberta’s love for puzzles and stickers were her dogs Chevy and Bella who loved her dearly. Alberta was always proud of her work and loved to share it with everyone. Albert was one of the kindest souls, but of course had a little bit of sass to go with it. 

Alberta is predeceased by her parents Roy and Angelina Ninehan as well as her loving brother in law, Robert Cyples.  

Alberta is survived by her sister Elizabeth Cyples and family friend Steven Verboczki from Tuckerton, NJ. Sister Ruth Petersen and husband Jeff and their son Jeffery. Sister Maryann and Charles Thatcher of North Carolina. Niece Ada Caponera, great nephew Louis Rex and longtime girlfriend Melinda, great nephew Nicholas Rex, great niece Sierra Lynn, extended family Karen, George, Lex, and Steven Knapp, and many cherished friends. 

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Alberta’s honor to Special Olympics of NJ. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 2-4pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor NJ 08087.
