Achmed Achtau

Achmed Achtau, 72 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home on Saturday December 2, 2023.  Born in Neu-Ulm, Germany he lived in Hawthorne, NJ for 31 years before moving to Little Egg Harbor 6 years ago.

Achmed worked for Nabisco in Fairlawn, NJ and served as the Union Secretary of Treasury.  He was highly respected in his position.  The employees greatly admired his dedication and diligence in handling their union affairs.  He was a wonderful cook and the family all enjoyed his various dishes.  Achmed was generous and kind to all in his family and always attended the numerous family affairs.  The family could always count on Achmed to support them in every way.  Achmed was loved by his family and had a great sense of humor.  He will be truly missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife Ursula Resch, brothers Max Achtau and wife Esther, Husein Achtau and wife Debbie, Billy Achtau and Roland Achtau and wife Florence as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday December 7, 2023 from 12pm to 3pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A repast will follow at Calloway's Restaurant 597 Main Street West Creek, NJ 08092.
