Robert C. Hansen, 74, of Manahawkin died Saturday July 30th 2011 in Southern Ocean Medical Center. Born in Jersey City and raised in Staten Island NY. He served in the NY Fire Department for 32 years, joining Ladder company 6, and moving to Ladder 26 2nd section where he served for 8 years. He retired as a Lieutenant from Engine Company 159 in 1994.
After retirement Mr. Hansen resided in Manahawkin NJ.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret, son Kenneth Hansen (Jeanette), 2 daughters Jennifer Trainor (James), and Karen Hansen (Scott) 2 stepsons, Charles Farrell (Lucy) and Peter Farrell (Leah). Also survived by 8 Grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday August 3rd, 2011 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s of the Pines Church 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Wed from 8:45 to 9:45 am at the Maxwell Funeral Home 573 Mill Creek Rd., Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
