Rex L. Myers, 88 of the Mystic Shores Section of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Pomona on Tuesday August 16, 2011.  Born in Newark, NJ he lived in Union, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1989.  He was a member of the Church of the Ascension in Atlantic City, NJ and was baptized and raised in the Grace Episcopal Church in Newark, NJ.  He worked for the Essex County Sheriff’s Office in Newark before retiring and was a World War II Army Veteran.

He is survived by his sister Margaret Koenig and is the beloved uncle of John Richard Kosiak and great uncle of Joann Marie Kosiak and John Stephen Kosiak.

A viewing will be held on Friday August 19, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.  A Requiem Mass will be held on Saturday August 20 at Church of the Ascension, Atlantic City, NJ.  The body will be received at 9:00am at church and will lie in state immediately following where friends will be invited for prayer until the Mass of Resurrection at 10:00am.  Entombment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton, NJ.
