Frank J. Indyk

Frank J. Indyk, 70, passed away at Southern Ocean County Hospital on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, after a brave battle with cancer with his family at his side.

Frank was born inIrvingtonand raised inNewark,NJ.    Frank later married and raised his family in Colonia then retired with his wife, Carole, in Little Egg Harbor, NJ.   Frank was proud to have owned and run his own business in auto body repairs for many years inBerkeleyHeights.  He loved fishing, gardening, playing bocce and helping his friends, neighbors and family.  With a big heart and sense of humor to match, Frank brought love and smiles to all he met.   Pop Pop’s greatest joy and love are his seven granddaughters, Jordan, Madison, Courtney, Kaitlin, Dominique, Morgan and Johanna. 

Frank was predeceased by his youngest son, Kevin in 1994.  Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Carole Jean Indyk, and loving children Michael and his wife, Sue, of Edison; Gina Dunsmuir and her husband, Robert, of Middletown; and Frank Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of Kendall Park; as well as a brother Teddy Indyk of Florida.      

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 8am to 9am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown rd.  Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087  Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday 9:30 am St. Theresa Church, 450 Radio Road, Little Egg Harbor, NJ.   Internment will take place at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Theresa Church or Circle of Life Children’s Center, Inc.  at www.circleoflifenj.org
