Cathy M Hackney, on January 13, 2012, this world lost one of its best.
Born inNewark, NJ., she graduatedEast SideHigh School. She volunteered atUnionHospitaland Meals on Wheels,Union. Cathy was a Preschool teacher at St. Francis ofAssisiChurch, Brant Beach, NJ. She loved going to Atlantic City Casino’s.
She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Cathy leaves behind the deeply saddened love of her life of 49 years Eddie. They were married September 15, 1962.
Her children, first born Sonny Boy Ed, first born daughter beautiful Mae and her husband Sean, and her baby of babies Bonnie. She also leaves her grandchild, her precious and “not spoiled” Kyrstin Geloso.
Sisters Maize and Sissy, sister-in-law Arlene Coates, Niece Arlene and nephew Bobby.
A Funeral Service will be offered on Wednesday January 18, 2012 at 11:00am at the funeral home followed by Interment atSt.MaryCemetery, Manahawkin,
Viewing hours will be on Tuesday 1/17/2012 from 5-8pm and Wednesday morning 1/18/2012 from 10:00-11:00am at Maxwell Funeral Home 573 Mill Creek Rd., Manahawkin, NJ 08050.

KITTY WAS MY OLDEST FRIEND. WE MET WHEN WE WERE JUST SIX YEARS OLD AND HAVE BEEN FRIENDS EVER SINCE. ALTHOUGH WE ONLY GOT TOGETHER ONCE A YEAR, IT WAS ALWAYS A FUN NIGHT FOR US. I AM HAPPY THAT HER FAMILY LET ME AND OUR OTHER FRIEND BARBARA VISIT WITH KITTY LAST MONTH. I DIDN’T KNOW IT WOULD BE MY GOODBYE. I WILL ALWAYS VALUE OUR FRIENDSHIP. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON AND A GREAT FRIEND.
