Uncle George was truly one of a kind. I honestly can not believe that he is gone. I always thought that he was invincible. He would say “Nobody else is like your Uncle George” and that was true. I’ll always remember when my Dad (his brother Jim) and I would go out with him on his boat. Usually the day would end in a fight between the two of them, but we always got fish, so that was good, and they always made up. George seemed so happy behind the wheel of that boat. In Port Richmond he would jump into our pool from off of our roof. He threw me into the pool in my Communion dress. He was my Godfather. My Grandmom really doted on George. She was very proud of him. Of course I now regret not seeing him more over the years. When I was at Jennifer’s wedding, I realized how great his children turned out and I saw how much Marita and them loved him. He was lucky to have that love. RIP Uncle George. I hope you catch alot of fish in the afterlife!
